Marketing of Voip Products

It used to be sufficient to assume that advertising messages received while consumers were in the buying cycle for cellular phones and voip technology and were at home would translate into sales in stores. Well with internet marketing this has all changed. And so it just isn’t true anymore. Brands such as Motorola and Polycom and Linksys today must be wherever transactions happen. The implications of this are enormous. It means that the future of marketing is no longer just about the integration of advertising, promotions, direct, public relations or even just internet marketing its really the amalgamation of them all.

Internet marketing has opened the doors for small retailers to get into the game so to speak.

Its amazing where the net is going in terms of marketing it has even spilled into software development. I mean could you imagine not being able to find sites solely about the joining of the development world with the marketing world. It's really fantastic.

Google Pitches The Gphone

In a recent development, Google is in the process of pitching its vaunted Gphone to Verizon Wireless. According to recent reports, Google is in serious discussions with Verizon Wireless to put its mobile "GPhone" software on Verizon phones. This puts an end to the endless speculations doing the rounds in which people were believing that it is not a phone but somewhat like an operating system or a software that integrates many of Google's mobile services, like Web search, Gmail, Youtube, and Google Maps, onto phones. The new Google mobile OS is believed to be an open platform on which application developers would have free reign to develop a slew of new applications and services. The new Google software will also supposedly offer integration with advertising platforms. And this is something that Verizon or any mobile operator would likely find very interesting.

Japanese Market Gets The 913 SH-G

A new phone has entered the Japanese market and it is the 913-SH-G. The phone is based on the popular Gundam cartoons and is a slider with 3G terminals. The phone comes in red, which we presume has got something to do with the cartoon characters once again and there are also some sound effects to make things fun. The integrated content and design are different outside the normal specification of a 913 SH and you also have Bluetooth. The size is 50 x 108 x 17mm and weighs about 125 g. Talk time is about 280 minutes along with a receiving continuous standby time of about 35 hours. This phone will be released in early December or later.

Apple Making The Money

Apple is making a lot of money and it is the iPhone that seems to be the money spinner for them. Apple is pulling a fat some for every iPhone activation on AT&T. According to the NY Times, AT&T may be paying Apple as much as $18 a month for each iPhone currently running on its network. This amounts to $432 over the course of a 2-year contract, which is a pretty sizeable amount. Combined with the $399 price tag of the 8 GB iPhone itself, this gives Apple a total of $831 for each iPhone that it sells. Now talk about revenue, this is something amazing. Of course all the any manufacturing costs or incidentals are not included in this but we still know what Apple is getting.

Apple Keeps Refusing

Apple is not refusing to accept cash for an iPhone. They are enough to extend the policy out to no cash for anything that could in turn purchase an iPhone. that's not all, you can't even use your Apple bucks to buy an iPhone anymore, not even if someone bought you an Apple Gift Card with their credit card. This seems to bbe one huge stumbling block for all teenage Apple fanboys begging various family members for small denomination gift cards that will add up to the iPhone they've been after. Not fair really. Looks like Apple is hell bent to act adamant and at this rate, they might even loose a few potential customers. We hope someone wake up and challenged Apple that enough is enough and good behavior always pays.

Mobile Subscription Not Happening

The Subscription music business was to pick up with mobile phones entering the lives of more and more people. But this has not exactly happened as U.S. operators are still focused on selling individual tracks over the air on an a la carte basis only. The recently launched AT&T's Napster Mobile-branded full-song, over-the-air download service has Napster which is first and foremost subscription music service but its wireless extension is not. Users can buy individual tracks for $2 or a five-track pack for $7.50. The music industry and subscription music service providers agree that this scenario need to be changes. And to be fair, AT&T and other U.S. wireless operators intend to get there soon. There's just a lot of work to be done before making it a reality. These include technology, pricing and education which need to be properly put in place with the users and providers in mind.

LG Rumor Is Here

No, we are not talking about some kind of buzz doing the rounds but here is new phone from LG which is called the rumor. This phone is a big thing this fall and is being talked about big time. The reason for this is that the Rumor is one of those rare phones that has a built-in QWERTY keyboard but is most definitely not a smartphone. This messaging-centric device has a hidden slide-out QWERTY keyboard and comes with a few multimedia extras like a 1.3-megapixel camera and a music player. However, the Web browser is still fairly rudimentary, plus the Rumor is sadly saddled with only 1xRTT speeds, and not EV-DO so this a bit of let down. But what ever said, the QWERTY keyboard alone makes the Rumor a great messaging and e-mail device. It's currently available from Sprint for $79 after a 2-year contract.

First we had the iPod Nano and very soon Apple will bring out the iPhone in its Nano form. Well that seems to be the buzz as of now and we have a few spy pics of the phone to support this. So you can have a good look. Apple’s patents confirmed that Apple is exploring quite a few possibilities of the smaller iPod Nano like phone. There was full screen iPhone Nano with touchpanel at the bottom, there even was an iPhone Nano version without a touchscreen at all. We hope to see it all in the flesh very soon.

T-Mobile's new Phone called the Shadow puts a new light on Smartphones. The phone benefits from its completely revamped Windows Mobile home screen with a middling audio quality. T-Mobile worked with Microsoft and HTC, which manufactured the phone and you now have a phone that's organic and easy to use along with the device's controls, which include a back arrow to easily move back screen-by-screen no matter where you are in the phone, and a masterful jog-wheel that doubles as a five-way navigation button. The main highlight of the design is the inverted L design. You also have five menu choices line the left side of the display and pressing down on the five-way navigation button lets you quickly cycle through the menu choices. This very smart smartphone comes with dimensions of as 4.1 by 2.1 by 0.6 and it weighs 5.3 ounces. It supports quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM networks, as well as GPRS and EDGE, and has built-in Wi-Fi. Other specs include a 2.0-megapixel camera, a microSD Card slot (which supports up to 4GB media), 128MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM; and a crisp, generous 2.6-inch 320-by-240-pixel QVGA display.
