After the big arrival of the iPhone, there were a number of look look a likes that made their way into the market. One such iPhone copy was the HTC Touch. But now a new one is about to enter the fray. Car maker Audi is all set to bring the Audi Mobile Device which is actually a touchscreen concept 3G/wifi phone with an MP3 player and sat nav system that can plug into a car’s dashboard. It also functions as an access authorisation system for getting into the vehicle and its menu system is modelled on the existing Audi MM interface found in high-spec Audi cars. The super phone can even be used to turn on the vehicle’s heating systems and open and close the car for you.The touch-sensitive screen can recognize both Latin and Japanese characters, and can even decipher handwriting. And that’s not all, it can also store images taken by the Audi’s on-board cameras, to snap pics of thieves and send them to you before activating an in-built tracker. Wow! That's really something. It’s believed that the first car equipped with the Audi Mobile Device will be the Audi A1 that will be launched soon. But there is big catch in the end. If you lost your phone, then you wouldn’t be able to drive your car. Some condition that is.
