No Text Messaging In Iran

iran%20map%20A.jpgCall this a curb on individual freedom or stopping the freedom of expression, text messaging has been shut down in Iran. This could sound a bit strange for most people but it is true. Security authorities have switched off the mobile text messaging system in the capital Tehran overnight to prevent motorists from organizing more protests. The protests were held against the introduction of petrol rationing in the Islamic Republic and turned violent. However reformist papers in Iran are still protesting against this kind of rationing and one can now wonder as to when they will be told to shut down if things continue to carry on this way.
