Romanians Make Gaming Fun
Potter mania has hit mobile phones too with the mobile phone version of the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" video game. In this game the torches hanging along the dark walls of Hogwarts glow in an eerily realistic fashion. This is a result of a technology called dynamic lighting which has been created by Electronic Arts Inc in Romania. Romania is now emerging as a leader in computing as Romanian programmers are among the most sought-after by international IT companies who are now turning to the east European country to take advantage of its strong computing and language skills and cheap labor. IT has now become one of Romania's fastest growing export sectors with a turnover of about 1 billion euros ($1.38 billion).
Romanian programmers are much in demand with their talent and skills being sought after these days. However Romania also happens to be a happening center for computer fraud and a refuge for hackers. This is one dark side that cannot be ignored in spite of such a promising IT future.
